- The entire east shore is off limits to shore fishing.

- Because of elevated mercury levels, caution is advised in the amount of fish consumed taken from Lake Berryessa. Advisable amounts are listed in the California Sport Fishing
Regulations.
- The Monticello Dam on Putah Creek was completed in 1957.
There are more miles of shoreline at Berryessa than is surrounding giant Lake Tahoe.
