Regulations
- Park rules are provided at Park Entrance.
- Camanche Lake is a source of domestic water for South Shore Rec. Area Pollution is strictly forbidden.
- Swim at your own risk, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
- California Vehicle Code is enforced within the park. Off road vehicle opreation is prohibited.
- A fishing access permit must be in your possession while fishing, in addition to a state fishing license.
- Campfires are allowed only in fire rings provided by the park.
- Gathering wood is prohibited. Firewood is available for sale.
- Quite time after 10:00 PM.
- It is illegal to possess fireworks, firearms, or other weapons within the park.
- Reservations are required for tent or RV camping on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends. Reservations are required for group camp sites year-round.
Boating Requirements
- California Boating Laws are enforced.
- The lake may be closed to boaters during high wind conditions.
- Night boat operation is prohibited.
Notes
- Lake level fluctuates, beware of submerged objects.
- Trout pond at South Shore Rec. Area, is stocked regularly with rainbow and Eagle lake trout.
