  • Regulations
    • Park rules are provided at Park Entrance.
    • Camanche Lake is a source of domestic water for South Shore Rec. Area Pollution is strictly forbidden.
    • Swim at your own risk, children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
    • California Vehicle Code is enforced within the park. Off road vehicle opreation is prohibited.
    • A fishing access permit must be in your possession while fishing, in addition to a state fishing license.
    • Campfires are allowed only in fire rings provided by the park.
    • Gathering wood is prohibited. Firewood is available for sale.
    • Quite time after 10:00 PM.
    • It is illegal to possess fireworks, firearms, or other weapons within the park.
    • Reservations are required for tent or RV camping on Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day weekends. Reservations are required for group camp sites year-round.
    Boating Requirements
    • California Boating Laws are enforced.
    • The lake may be closed to boaters during high wind conditions.
    • Night boat operation is prohibited.
    Notes
    • Lake level fluctuates, beware of submerged objects.
    • Trout pond at South Shore Rec. Area, is stocked regularly with rainbow and Eagle lake trout.
