About The Lake

Collins Lake is located in the Sierra foothills, 22 miles northeast of Marysville. Collins is open all year. During Fall, Winter and Spring (Oct. 1 - May 14) no waterskiing is permitted, so fishermen can enjoy peaceful boating during these prime fishing periods. During the summer (May 15 - Sept. 30), waterskiing is allowed in the main body of the lake, but quiet fishing is still maintained in designated "fishing only" zones.

This lake provides excellent fishing opportunity for beginners as well as the experienced angler, with an extensive spring trout planting program and fish up to 7 pounds planted. Collins has a strong population of northern largemouth bass, smallmouth, Alabama spotted, and Florida strain largemouth bass. Other species include crappie, bluegill, and catfish.

Collins provides clean, shaded sites, with full services. There are many different camping packages to choose from, and security patrols for your protection.
