Regulations
- Dogs must be on a leash 6' or less.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm - 6am.
- Campground speed limits are 10 mph.
- No gray-water can be dumped on the ground.
- Vehicles and boat trailers must be parked in designated sites only.
- Campfires must be attended at all times.
- Stay limits are 14 days per campground.
- Campsites must be attended the first night and every 24hrs. thereafter.
- Fees must be paid within 30 minutes of occupancy.
Boating Requirements
- California Boating Laws enforced.
- No fishing inside Eagle Lake Marina breakwater.
Average Water Temperatures:
- Spring - 50 Degrees
- Summer - 62 Degrees
- Fall - 45 Degrees
- Winter - 36 Degrees
Average Air Temperatures:
- Spring - 60 to 70 Degrees
- Summer - 75 to 90 Degrees
- Fall - 60 to 70 Degrees
- Winter - 25 to 35 Degrees
Extreme Conditions:
- Wind all year, especially in afternoons / snowy winters, icy, snowy roads
(call for possible road closures)
Notes
- Most campgrounds open around the middle of May.
- Campgrounds generally start shutting down around the middle of September.
- Merrill Camp stays open until Dec. 31 if weather permits. No water or
garbage pickup is available during the fall months. Camping is free during this
time as long as you bring in your own water and take out your garbage.
- Fishing hours are from one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.
- Fishing season is from the last weekend in May to Dec. 31. (Two fish per
person daily limit, four in possession).
- Night fishing and use of minnows is strictly prohibited.
