  • Regulations

    • Maximum of eight people and 3 cars per campsite.
    • Check out time is noon, check in time is 2 p.m.
    • No electronic equipment may be used which emits sound beyond individuals camp or picnic site.
    • Quiet hours are 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Generators must be off 8 p.m. to 10 a.m.
    • Fires only in designated fire rings. No ground fires.
    • Pets must be leashed (6' or less), caged, or in a vehicle at all times and may not be left unattended.
    • Downed wood is part of the natural ecosystem. Please do not collect it. Firewood may be purchased at the entrance station or from the camp host.
    • No diving within the State Park System.
    • Alcohol is prohibited on all beaches.
    • The speed for all vehicles is 15 miles per hour in camp, picnic, utility, or headquarters area and areas of general assemblage.
    • Fishing season is open all year at Millerton Lake and on the San Joaquin River below Millerton Lake.
    Boating Requirements

    • Boats must not travel fast enough to leave wake behind them in area between the 5 mph buoys and shore.
    • Boats must not enter the area between buoy line and the dam.
    • Swimming areas at McKenzie Point, South Bay, and La Plata Beach are off-limits to all boats and personal watercraft.
    • Waterskiing is prohibited anywhere upstream of the NO SKI buoys at east end of Finegold Bay.

    Notes

    • The South Finegold area is open from 8 a.m. until one hour after sunset from 4/1 to 9/30 and is closed from 10/1 to 3/31.
    • Regular day use hours throughtout the rest of the park are:
      11/1 to 2/29: 7 a.m to 6 p.m.
      4/1 to 9/30: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
      March and October: 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
